Glanrhyd-y-Pysgod is set in 80 acres of green meadowland on the banks of the River Teifi. The wonderful variety of wildlife that is found in abundance in the vicinity will interest the most enthusiastic naturalist. This is Red Kite country and apart from the usual species of birds indigenous to these parts, our large lake also attracts the heron, wild duck and the moorhen to name but a few.

There are numerous walks we can recommend along the paths and roads on which only few cars travel and the glorious beaches and lovely coves on the Cardigan Bay coastline are within easy reach. The Pembrokeshire National Park with its magnificent coastal path has scenery and a selection of sea birds that is second to none.

Two top-class eighteen hole golf-courses, both in superb settings, welcome visitors and there are numerous places of interest to see: the waterfalls of Cenarth where the ancient craft of coracle-fishing is still practiced; traditional Welsh Woollen Mills, Wildlife Park, Fishing Museum and Potteries; the renowned Horse Sales at Llanybydder and the picturesque sailing center at New Quay. Other activities include Riding, Trekking, and Swimming (there is an indoor swimming pool in Llandysul which is open to visitors during school holidays).
